THE SNOWY WHITE BLUES PROJECT

I met Snowy White in 2008 in Italy when he played with us, The Barry McCabe Band, as a special guest.
We did a couple of blues songs and I totally enjoyed being on stage with one of my heroes!
What I didn’t know was that Snowy was thinking of setting up a new Blues band. On a second show we did in Holland, the Bospop Festival, he brought along his long-time drummer Juan van Emmerloot to check out the show.

Not much later he called me and asked me if I wanted to sing and play bass in his band. He also asked Matt Taylor who’s a great singer guitarist and we share the lead vocals between the three of us.

We started writing songs and got together in the end of 2008 to record the album in the Curtis Schwartz Studios.

I wrote four songs on the album and got the chance to sing some of Snowy’s tunes cause he preferred to concentrate more on his guitar playing.

We named the band the Snowy White Blues Project and the CD “In our Time of Living” was released in the beginning of 2009.

We started touring throughout Europe to promote the album. We got great reviews on both the CD and the shows. The band developed into a great unit with a strong live show.

In the beginning 2010 we got Roy Martin from Liverpool on drums when Juan van Emmerloot left us to concentrate on other projects.

This year we’ve been working with the new drummer and we got to see very special places like Romania and Israel.

Our new CD "In our Time....Live" was released in September 2010 and got great reviews! 
Snowy is doin "The WALL" tour with Roger Waters untill end of 2011. After that we will get back together to continue the Project!
